Does the function key not actually work, or does it just not show up in the keyboard tester? It’s normal for function keys to not register if pressed by themselves in VIA.

Those tests measure how much it takes YOU to close and open the circuit, it other words, how long was the key pressed. I programed this specific keyboard to have a 10ms debounce, so that's the minimum the test will show.

I went to the "Key Tester" tab and it works just fine, detecting all the keys I pressed. I suppose I'm a pretty basic user in that i haven't really messed with QMK source code, or JSON files ever, I thought the app would of detected the keyboard once i authorized it and mapping would all be pretty easy.
